Mt Thompson Crematorium
Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium is at 329 Nursery Rd, Holland Park QLD 4121 (see map below), and is the oldest crematorium in Brisbane. Mt Thompson conducted its first cremation in 1934 on the 11th September.
Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium has two main chapels called East Chapel and West Chapel. The facilities also has a small outdoor chapel within the award-winning gardens. You are able to use a dedicated Viewing Room off the West Chapel and limited catering facilities if you require.
West Chapel
The West Chapel is the older of the two chapels, but is elegantly styled to suit a funeral service for less than 100 people.
Facilities include:

- A large undercover standing area with outdoor audio speakers at the entrance and to the side if the service is larger than expected

The funeral services in this chapel begin on the hour and a half, such as 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm etc.
The West Chapel has catering facilities available just outside the entrance to the chapel. Booking is essential. A car park is also close by for ease of moving to and from the venue.

East Chapel
The East Chapel is the larger of the two chapels and can seat about 120 people and has warm grey tones to give it a more modern feel.
Facilities include:

- Opportunity to play music for a more personalised funeral service
- A large undercover standing area, overlooking the large car parking area and the well-kept gardens
- Soft lighting
- Air conditioned
- Conveniently located large car park
- A northerly aspect with views to Brisbane City just outside the chapel door
The funeral services in this chapel begin on the half hour, such as 9:30am, 11:00am, 12:30pm etc.
The catering area is just a short walk from the East Chapel, just to the right of the chapel doors. It is convenient for those who are unable to walk long distances, but booking the facility when making funeral arrangements is essential. A car park is also close by for ease of moving to and from the venue.
