Centenary Memorial Gardens is a Funeral Venue located in the western suburbs of Brisbane at 353 Wacol Station Road, Sumner. Centenary Crematorium was established in 2001 and is a popular choice for funeral services. The Crematorium is occasionally referred to as Wacol Crematorium, or Sumner Crematorium. Entry to Centenary Memorial Gardens Crematorium is from Wolston Road. It is modern and one of the best Crematoriums in Brisbane.
The Crematorium has two chapels, firstly the Federation Chapel that can
seat about 120 people. This chapel is more conventionally styled, with green and light wood tones for a warm modern feel.
Secondly the Centenary Memorial Gardens Open Air Chapel.
Funeral services in this chapel begin on the hour and a half for example, at 10:00am, 11:30am and 1:00pm etc.
Centenary Memorial Gardens Federation Chapel has excellent audio visual equipment that will play most Photo Presentations and CD music. If you produce a DVD of photos to play at the Funeral Service it is wise that you go to Centenary to make sure that it is compatible and will play on the day. Alternatively Tony Hollands Funerals will create the DVD for you. Please visit our Photo Presentations Page for more information.
The Centenary Memorial Gardens Open Air Chapel is set in a country area of the cemetery, it's appropriate for nature loving families. The Open Air Chapel has seating for approximately 30 people and ample standing room. If on the day it's raining, the federation Chapel is held available so the service will be moved to that location.
The Catering Room is just to the left of the chapel, which is convenient for those who are unable to walk long distances, but if you would like to use these facilities booking prior is essential.
Centenary Memorial Gardens also has a Cemetery within the grounds and the chapel is available to use for a burial service.
The Centenary Memorial Gardens Crematorium facility also incorporates a Cemetery. There are a number of different areas for you to select from, so it’s wise to go to the grounds to choose the area that best suits your needs.

There can be some confusion as to the exact address of the facility. Although the address is at 353 Wacol Station Road Sumner, the entrance is off Wolston Road. This is why in the newspaper it usually says Corner of Wacol Station and Wolston Rd Sumner.
