We have provided the answers to some of the most commonly asked funeral questions raised by relatives and loved ones below. This section of our website is designed to help you deal with some of the confusion and uncertainty that so often intrudes at a time of bereavement.

You can call Tony Hollands Funerals, at any time of day or night, on 07 3392 9919 and one of our experienced and caring staff will provide you with support and guidance.

Why should I choose Tony Hollands Funerals?

What do I do when someone dies?

When someone dies, it can be difficult to know what to do. If you feel overwhelmed, take the time to call a family member or a friend who can support you now.

What you do next depends on where the person died and how the death occurred. For a detailed explanation of each scenario, please visit our page about what to do when death occurs.

These details and other useful information regarding funeral arrangements can also be found in our Funeral Information Booklet. If you’re not sure, please call Tony Hollands Funerals, at any time of day or night, on 07 3392 9919 for assistance.

What does a funeral cost?

As each family is different, each funeral service is also different so the question of cost is difficult to answer. Your decisions regarding the multitude of choices available (see the headings under cost and choices), and the extent of services provided, will determine the final account.

Whether the funeral is simple or elaborate, Tony Hollands Funerals will accommodate any reasonable request.

Our starting prices are in the middle of the range, but the value for cost is exemplary. Other funeral directors can be cheaper due to the following reasons: no business address, outsourcing to other holding facilities or mortuaries, lower facility or service standards than those at Tony Hollands Funerals, prices may not include GST, or trying to ‘make a quick buck’. In any case, the old saying applies - ‘you get what you pay for.’

The following costs are estimates only, for an accurate quote please contact Tony Hollands Funerals on 07 3392 9919 or use the various forms on this website (Quick Quote Page, Online Arrangement Form or Contact Us Page).

Approximate starting prices for full funeral services are:

  • Burial with a funeral service in a church or chapel: $7600 (using an existing grave): $9000 (new grave)
  • Cremation with a funeral service in a church or chapel: $6300

A significant way to reduce the costs is to have an unattended burial or cremation. In this case, Tony Hollands Funerals will complete the necessary paperwork and transport the deceased to the cemetery or crematorium without mourners in attendance. Conditions apply and any changes will result in additional costs.

Approximate starting prices for unattended services are:

  • Burial: $4100 (using an existing grave): $5500 (new grave)
  • Cremation: $1400 (see Budget Cremation Only)
